EPMG invests in its employees with employer-subsidized benefits, many of which are paid in full. This pay is indirect and provides clinicians and thier dependents with tax-free options for medical insurance for health, dental, vision, as well as life insurance and long term disability insurance. We offer creative, tax-advantaged savings for your medical, dependent, and retirement costs.
Medical Benefits
HEALTH BENEFITS
EPMG offers the choice of three health plans.
- Full-time clinicians may receive fully-paid medical coverage. A significant discount will be applied to the monthly premium for clinicians electing to purchase coverage for dependents or to buy up to premium coverage.
- Full-time clinicians who do not enroll in any medical benefit will receive an annual opt-out benefit.
DENTAL BENEFITS
EPMG offers two dental plans, a standard plan and a premium plan.
Full-time clinicians receive fully paid dental coverage at the standard level. A discount will be applied to the monthly premium for clinicians electing to purchase coverage for dependents or to buy up to premium coverage.
VISION BENEFITS
EPMG offers two vision plans, a Standard Plan and a Premium Plan.
Full-time clinicians receive fully paid vision coverage at the standard level. A discount will be applied to the monthly premium for clinicians electing to purchase coverage for dependents or to buy up to premium coverage.
Other Benefits
LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE
EPMG's disability plan provides each participant with a cost effective method of insuring his/her income should he/she become disabled and unable to work. EPMG provides this core benefit at no cost to full-time clinicians. Eligible participants may purchase, with pre-tax dollars, additional insurance coverage.
GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE
Full-time clinicians will be provided with life insurance coverage at no cost. These employees will also be able to purchase, with pre-tax dollars additional life insurance coverage. In addition, eligible full-time clinical employees will have the option to purchase dependent life insurance coverage for their eligible dependents on an after-tax basis.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical and Dependent Care) are available to clinicians. The medical care plan allows tax relief for expenses that the employee's health care, vision, dental and prescription drug plans do not fully cover; for example co-pays and deductibles. The dependent care plan will allow qualified employees to pay for the daycare expenses of qualified dependents with pre-tax dollars. These plans allow up to $5,000 dollars per plan, per family, per calendar year to be set aside on a pre-tax basis.
- The EPMG 401(k) Plan is a form of retirement savings plan that provides significant tax advantages. Through an elective employee deferral, both physicians and mid-level providers can chose to allocate a portion of their compensation into the 401(k) Plan account on a pre-tax basis. An after-tax Roth option is also available. Clinicians can choose the investment vehicles for their contributions from the options available. Each calendar year the federal government sets the maximum of before-tax contributions allowed. Employees may contribute $17,000.
- In addition, EPMG makes an employer non-elective contribution to the EPMG 401(k) Plan for physicians. If the maximum employer non-elective contribution is reached, EPMG provides physicians with a Retirement Premium.
- EPMG provides a free subscription to EB Medicine and paid-in-full continuing medical education credits to all non-contingent clinicians.
- EPMG is committed to risk management principles to ensure that all EPMG clinicians deliver high quality care. Up to 16 hours of designated continuing medical education is provided and paid in full annually.
EMPLOYEE BUSINESS EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT
Business related expenses incurred by EPMG employees may be eligible for reimbursement by EPMG. To be eligible for reimbursement, expenses must be authenticated, ordinary, and necessary business expenses that are deductible by EPMG for expenses such as dues, license fees, certification costs, subscriptions and medical equipment. In general, the reimbursement of business expenses will be made on the basis of actual occurrence and reasonableness in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service regulations on business expenses.
WHITE COATS
Each newly hired clinician is provided with two (2) white coats. An embroidered logo white coat represents an opportunity to reinforce a sense of pride in being associated with a quality employer such as EPMG and emphasizes clinicians are an important and integral part of EPMG.
APPLICANT REFERRAL BONUS
EPMG has a referral bonus to reward those clinicians who refer their friends and colleagues to EPMG.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
EPMGs Total Performance System (TPS) is designed to reward EPMG clinicians who successfully meet and exceed expectations.
Eligibility and benefits are controlled by the insurance carrier's plan description. EPMG reserves the right to modify or discontinue employee benefits at its discretion.
