Bucks County Hospital,
owned and operated by Diversified Specialty Institutes (DSI), opened
its doors on April 17, 2007 and is slated to be DSI’s first hospital
to meet the needs of patients seeking comprehensive breast care and
plastic surgery. The facility focuses primarily on breast cancer, plastic
and reconstructive surgery. However, it is a general hospital and will
be capable of handling most major medical problems, including a biologic
terror attack. The 4-bed emergency department is projected to see approximately
6,000 patients in 2007.
